The New Mexico Burlesque Festival exists to celebrate
the artistry and diversity in burlesque.
We are dedicated to community-building and education, while deepening the connections we have to past, present, and future burlesque artists and supporters.
We prioritize making space for performers from a diversity of backgrounds: cultures, genders, races, abilities, and ages.
We are proud to support the Burlesque Hall of Fame and the Burlesque Legends who rhinestoned this path for us all.
With gratitude, we acknowledge, honor, and hold solemn the Indigenous roots and People of this beautiful region.
The Native Nations in NM include the Fort Sill Apache Tribe, the Jicarilla Apache Nation, the Mescalero Apache Tribe, the Navajo Nation, and the nineteen Pueblos: Acoma, Cochiti, Isleta, Jemez, Kewa, Laguna, Nambe, Ohkay Owingeh, Picuris, Pojoaque, Sandia, San Felipe, San Ildefonso, Santa Ana, Santa Clara, Taos, Tesuque, Zuni, and Zia. We especially wish to acknowledge the Sandia and Isleta Pueblos near Albuquerque.
